Fixture Specialists, Inc. (FSI) has been in business for over 25 years. Our specialty is turnkey plumbing and HVAC/mechanical installation for fast track multifamily projects. Typically, these projects are apartments, senior living, hotels and student housing with greater than 100 units. For multifamily projects with a commercial/retail component, FSI utilizes well known commercial mechanical contractors in a sub-contractor role. We have maintained strong long-term relationships with a select group of plumbing and HVAC professional sub-contractors which enables us to staff multiple jobs fully at any given time.
The general contractors that comprise over 70% of our business are W. M. Jordan Company, Marlyn Development, The Breeden Company, Emerson Construction, and KBS. We have worked closely with these contractors for many years.
We have recently completed two large projects: West Broad Village in Richmond for KBS (339 residential units and retail – plumbing and mechanical for over $8 million) and Peninsula Town Center in Hampton for W. M. Jordan (157 residential units and retail – plumbing and mechanical for over $3 million). FSI is currently working on several other significant projects for both companies. We are also currently working on projects for Marlyn Development in the Tidewater area and North Carolina, Emerson Construction in Richmond, Breeden in Richmond and Tidewater, and The Capstone Company in Petersburg.
FSI is a certified Woman Owned Small Business that holds Class A Contractor's Plumbing and HVAC Licenses in Virginia and North Carolina. We work primarily in the Central, Tidewater, and Southside Regions of Virginia.
